Olympia by Edouard Manet.
This is obviously inspired by Titian’s Venus of Urbino. The differences are interesting. Instead of a dog (which can imply domesticity and submission), the animal at the foot of the bed is a cat in heat. The girl is getting flowers, which we can assume are from a suitor. In the Venus of Urbino, the woman’s maid’s are preparing her chest which she will (presumably) be taking with her to her new home (because she’s getting married- get it?).
Also, a black lady. Okay datz it.
